Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, particularly acclaimed for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was born in Italy as her father worked in the U.S. military and she grew up within Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. She began dancing and acting professionally in the mid-1990s with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and then The Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she was in Minnesota in a small local theater, she was selected to play a role in an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Then, in Los Angeles, she pursued acting after her debut film in where she played an uneasy but fun contestant. Leigh, who was introduced to her through actor Norma Shearer Leigh signed a agreement with MGM to start her film career actress in the mid 1940s. She appeared in a range of popular films during the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954) which starred Martin Lewis.
