Julie Chen Moonves, who was among the first hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award award-winning talk show), returned to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd edition. She was a writer before becoming host, but her passion was to write. It actually brought the show an Emmy. Then she won a second Emmy as a host of an exceptional entertainment talk show. She was co-hosting CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 and 2010. She anchors The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour newscast in the early hours of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the conflict in Iraq, among other major news stories on The Early Show. Chen Moonves covered the Emmy Award-winning CBS Sunday Morning News broadcast. He profiled celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis or Paula Abdul. Prior to The Early Show he was the CBS affiliated station's reporter in New York City, WCBS. She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the news affiliate of CBS, and she was an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) during her final year at the University of Southern California. This was her first time working in broadcasting, as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots, worked alongside Koppel.
