Silk is born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada the daughter of Peter Silk an academic and his wife Ilkay who is an actress, director and producer, playwright and educator as well as director of drama at St. Thomas University. In 2009, she got the main role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. CNN has rated her character Bo and Lauren as lovers of the same sexuality in Lost Girl one of their all-time favorite TV couples. E! declared them the top Television Couples in 2013.
